5 tips to Start Losing weight today/set up your weight loss journey!!

 


Everyone wants to look good when they get their shirt off, but many people don't know where to start. Today I am going to give you 5 tips which will help you set up your weight loss journey.

Ø Calorie Deficit:-

The first and foremost step you need to follow in order to loose weight is creating a calorie deficit. Simply type maintenance calories calculator on Google and enter your details like age, weight, e.t.c. It will tell you your maintenance calories. Once you get your maintenance calories simply minus 300 to 500 calories and you have to consume these many calories to start losing weight. For Example John’s maintenance calories are 2000 so he needs to consume 1500 to 1700 calories to start losing weight.

Ø Macros Ratio:-

For weight loss you can set your macros as 45% carbs 25% protein and 30% fats of total calories you need to consume . You can change them slightly but these work best. If you want to know how to track daily macros comment below and I will surely write another blog.

Ø Food Choices:-

Leave out all the processed foods and start including complex carbs in your diet like Wholegrain bread, Rice, Fruits e.t.c. Start taking protein in good amounts from sources like fish, chicken, beef, lentils, and chickpeas e.t.c. For fats you can get that from olive/coconut oil e.t.c. or nuts like peanuts, walnuts, e.t.c. You need to consume all these within your macros.



Ø Exercise:-

Best exercise for fat loss is strength training. Train 1 muscle group everyday and get 1 day rest per week. For cardio you can do it twice or thrice every week and just go for 3 to 5 fast sprints in every session rather than wasting time walking or jogging for longer durations.



Ø Checking your progress:-

If you are following this program, measuring your inches or body fat percentage is the best to check this progress because as you start strength training you will gain some muscle as well which balances out the weight drop that should happen due to fat loss. Muscle gain is very good for fat loss and it will speed up the progress.
